# 10 Round Barn

This photo I called “Round Barn” can be found in LaPorte Indiana. We were on our way to Michigan City when we came upon it. I know of a few other round barns in the area but as of yet haven’t taken any photos of them. I guess this means a road trip.

Sometimes it’s better taking the back roads because of what you might find. One year we did a vacation close to home and was amazed at the  history around Puru and Kokomo Indiana.

# 9 Purple Flower 2

I just love how there are so many different flowers. That means many pictures of different flowers. I like that, I like that a lot. My biggest problem comes with finding the names of many of these flowers, weeds, or what. What drove me to this flower was the color. I like the color and how deep the color is near the top of the flower.

Two custom photo coaster plaque orders.

It was a great weekend. Not only did I get a lot done outside but I had two orders for custom photo coaster plaques from two different people. Yeah!!! In fact I was told they would have more orders for me.

Here is a set I made for a wedding. I was supplied with the photos and had to crop them for the tiles.

# 8 Rainforest Waterfall

0004CRainforest Waterfall was taken at the Zoo in Fort Wayne. I was standing behind the falls looking into the mist. As you may be able to tell I also changed the colors a little. This little bit of the rainforest trapped in a dome always gives me things to take photos of. You will find beautiful flowers, banana trees with banana’s, Birds and bamboo.

Here is a little unknown fact. Some of the bamboo found in the rainforest at Fort Wayne Zoo was from one of our friends. He also gave us some but ours never took off. I really think bamboo is cool and wish ours would take off like our friends.

If you are ever in Fort Wayne during the summer months check out the Zoo. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Every year we get older. I just turned 51 today. I don’t feel like it most days, but lately I do. I have taken on a second job the turned from 15 to 20 hours a week to 25 hours a week.

At one time this wouldn’t have been a problem. My mind says I can do anything I want but the body gives me limits. Not fair! As my five and eight year old would say.

For those who would like to know what I did for my birthday.  I worked eight hours for my one job. Came home to change and went and worked five more hours at my second job. Nice birthday don’t you think. I believe they are more for kids anyway.

It’s late now and I have to do the whole thing over Friday.  Good night from a tired old birthday boy.

# 7 White Barn – Happy Birthday to Me!

My photo “White Barn” brings back memories of a time when the field in front was a pasture and race horses would graze during the summer. There was a tall white wood fence that in the winter as a kid would drift and we would tunnel through. Those were the days!

Now the white fence is gone and the barn is showing some age. I guess I am too. Way back on this day in 1963 I was born.  Now I’m one step closer to 100 where according to my young daughter you die. She said she heard that from a friend. Had to show here proof that people live over a hundred.  Kids say the funniest things. At 51 I can say I feel pretty good and still get out and play paintball with the younger folks and show them who’s boss. I guess I will finish this off with HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

# 6 Purple Flowers

I call this photograph Purple Flowers. I love taking pictures of flowers but my problem stems with finding the name of the flower. I try to find them on Google and sometimes I get lucky. If you know what this is feel free to let me know. I would love to know the name. I would go back and change the name of my photo coaster plaques I used this photo on. If you know of a great website that would help me with the names of the flowers please let me know.

Do you have some places you like to go to take pictures? For flowers I like the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, The Fort Wayne Botanical Gardens, and the Toledo Zoo. The Toledo Zoo has a great flower garden and the Fort Wayne Botanical Garden is a wonderful place.
